Family Farm Project is a multi-family CSA.  We have four farm families on four different farms raising crops.   Our CSA basket is essentially extras we raise and share from our own gardens.  Our appeal is fresh, local, sustainable agriculture. Fresh means picked on the same day as delivered, local means it is grown in Oldham, Henry or Trimble Counties.  We raise crop varieties that are proven for our climate and soil types.  If necessary we apply the safest, most effective fertilizer or pesticide recommended for that specific "food" crop.  We raise our crops for human consumption and are very conscious of that.   We rely on soil tests, crop rotations, cover crops, companion plantings and advice from our local extension office to raise healthy, low maintenance food for a profit.  We are not certified organic.  We are locally grown and fresh picked.
